Best Beaches to Visit in Gold Coast, Australia - Surfing, Sunrise & Nature

If you're planning a trip to the Gold Coast, Australia, and wondering which beaches are worth visiting, here are my recommendations you shouldn't miss! Each beach offers something different - from perfect surfing waves to calm sunrise views and relaxing creek spots.

1. Rainbow Bay Beach

Rainbow Bay Beach is one of the most famous surfing spots on the Gold Coast. Parking was a bit tricky to find, but it was totally worth it once I got there.

I went surfing and was lucky cause I saw a few dolphins swimming nearby! It was an unforgettable moment.

After surfing, I enjoyed a cold beer while watching the sunset over the ocean, which was truly magical.

Even though it was winter, the weather was still nice enough to surf and enjoy the beach vibe.

2. Memaid Beach

IF you're a morning person, Mermaid Beach is the perfect spot to start your day.

My friends and I woke up early to see the sunrise at Mermaid Beach. There were already quite a few people jogging and working out along the shore.

We picked up some seashells and even found an injured bird. Someone contacted a rescue center to help it.

It felt peaceful, heartwarming, and full of life.

3. Tallebudgera Creek Beach

Tallebudgera Creek Beach is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and serene atmosphere.

We also visited Tellabudgera Creek Beach for a quick swim. The water was a bit too cold for me to stay in for long, but the place was stunning!

The clear blue water and calm surroundings made it a perfect spot just to relax and take photos.

After spending some time at the beach, I also recommend trying local donuts nearby 🍩

Each of these Gold Coast beaches has something special:

Rainbow Bay for surfers and sunset lovers, Mermaid Beach for a peaceful sunrise walk, Tallebudgera Creek for calm waters and scenic views.

If you love the ocean, nature, and good vibes,
add these to your Gold Coast travel itinerary — you won’t regret it! 🌞
