Brisbane Guest House - Lylo Brisbane Review

Image
During my trip to Brisbane, I stayed one night at Lylo Brisbane. Check-in was at 3 PM, but I arrived around 1:30 PM. Early check-in wasn't available, and they suggested waiting on the 4th floor or paying an extra fee. The 4th floor was an open area and quite chilly, so I decided to grab a coffee nearby instead. Loly Brisbane - Agoda I booked a female 4-bed dorm, but two guests were already staying long-term, so the room was a little messy due to their belongings.  Luckily, my bed was on the first floor! Once the door closes, it really feels like a private room. It was a bit hot at night, so I slept with the door open a little. Inside the room, there was a mirror, a fan, and a charging port.        Each guest could get a towel and a locker, which is quite large and locks with the same key card; no need to bring a padlock. Super convenient!  The bathroom inside was also clean and spacious, with a hairdryer and body wash provided. There's also a shared kitchen...

Brisbane Travel – Milky Way Tour at Lake Moogerah

Image
During my trip to Brisbane, I joined a Milky Way and stargazing tour at Lake Moogerah. It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my journey. When I first arrived at Moogerah, the sky was a bit cloudy, but as time went on, it slowly cleared up, revealing countless stars and the Milky Way stretching beautifully across the h orizon. The tour guide explained the constellations. It was peaceful, quiet, and breathtaking, a perfect escape from the city lights of Brisbane. 📸    Tips for taking photos with iPhone at night 1) Set the exposure to the maximum 2) Use Night Mode with the maximum exposure time (Up to 10 seconds) 3) Keep your phone still and steady, even better if you use a small tripod! With these simple settings, you can capture amazing shots with your iPhone. It lasted about 2 hours and the weather was a little bit cold at night, so I recommend bringing a warm jacket, even a padded jacket will be okay in my opinion. If you love nature, night skies, and photograp...

Porto Yacht Tour Review - Douro River Cruise Experience

Image
During my trip to Porto, I joined a morning yacht tour along the Douro River, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my visit! The tour started from the main port in Porto and turned back near the Porto district, offering a stunning view of the city and the famous bridges along the Douro River. I made my reservation in advance through GetYourGuide.  getyourguide.com There were two local Portuguese guides on board and about six participants, including me, so it felt like a cozy and private tour. The tour was conducted in English and lasted around two hours. We enjoyed local wine throughout the cruise, and the best part? They kept refilling my glasses endlessly with some snacks.  T he weather was perfect, sunny and bright, but the wind was quite strong, so I highly recommend bringing a windbreaker or light jacket. Don't worry if you forget, though; they kindly provided warm blankets for passengers. It was such a relaxing and scenic experience, sipping wine, feeli...

Story Bridge Climb Tour in Brisbane - A Scary but Meaningful Experience

Image
I joined the Story Bridge Climb Tour in Brisbane. https://maps.app.goo.gl/xLbW6MjkqcdW1jWT7 Before the climb, we were not allowed to bring any personal items, including phones or cameras, so I couldn't take pictures during the tour. Everything had to be stored safely in a locker.  The staff provided us with safety equipment and instructions to make sure everyone was secure throughout the climb. To be honest, it was quite scary at first! The bridge is much higher than I expected. When I started feeling nervous, our guide advised me to look up at the sky instead of looking down - it really helped. During the tour, she also shared interesting stories and the history of Brisbane, which made the experience even more meaningful. After finishing the climb, we were able to purchase photos taken by our guide. The pictures cost around $30, and they sent me a link to download them afterward. They also gave me a tour hat as a souvenir, which I really liked. To remember the experience...

✈️ How a Wireless Iron Got My Suitcase Locked – TSA Trouble on My Flight

Image
I recently flew to Saipan from Korea and had an unexpected issue with my suitcase - all because of a wireless iron I packed.  Before boarding, I received a call from the airline staff saying they needed to remove my wireless iron from my checked-in suitcase. Since it was locked, I gave them the combination code.  My suitcase is a Swiss Military Seraphic 28-inch model, which uses a three-digit code lock system only. However, when I arrived in Saipan and picked up my suitcase, I noticed that the lock code had been changed.  Even worse, one of the dials could now be opened with any random numbers. On top of that, I was unable to reset the code myself.

🐋 Whale Watching Tour in Gold Coast, Australia

Image
During my trip to the Gold Coast, Australia, I applied for a whale-watching tour - something I had been really excited about!  📍   Tour Location Aqua Adventure Centre Marina, 95 Marine Parade, Southport QLD 4215 Austrailia https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fg6bJwViDT5N88WAA     Unfortunately, my original tour was canceled due to bad weather, so I had to reschedule it for another day.  Luckily, the other day's weather was a bit better, and I finally got to join the tour! As soon as I got on the boat, the tour guides handed out snacks and offered  hot beverages like coffee and tea before departure.  The weather was cloudy, and the waves were quite big that day. I had to hold onto the railing tightly because the boat was rocking a lot!  Then, all of a sudden, people started shouting excitedly and gathering near the side of the boat - and there were the whales!  I saw so many whales swimming and breaching near our boat. The captain said we were very lucky...
